A different Canvas

"Art is the language of each man's soul"

-Regina Pagunsan

I have always enjoyed and loved art.

I began coloring and drawing ever since I can remember. It helped me express my feelings and unburden my brain with too much imaginations. Sadly, as I grow older I have come to forget to go back to the hobbies that brings joy to my heart. True, I am very active in managing a theater organization but I have forgotten what it is like to be overwhelmed in seeing the works of my on hands, literally. "It is what it is", they say. As you grow older, you tend to leave some stuff behind. While others accept this fact, I refused to conform. I promised myself that before I graduate college I will go back to these hobbies and not only that, I will further enhance this talent because it felt like it has become this child that was denied of maturity and nourishment. So, as the whole world locked down and I was left in the safety of my boarding house, I started putting colors in my head again and project it in my sketch book.

I made a version of Joker that has a touch of a at least 3 previous portrayals

A year later, I have decided to go on and throw myself into different types of art like video editing. I have been busy making short videos for my friends and it became an another way for me to journal my endeavors.

Me Vs. Professional Film makers

Practicing Color Grading

Lately, because of the fact that I bought an account in Netflix, a delightful app; bless those who made it, I found myself getting addicted with anime shows again. I got too in to it that I decided to learn digital art and animation.

 "Cerebus I", March, 2021

One of the three heads of Cerebus, guardian of the Underworld. Like other Greek geeks, more specifically the Percy Jackson Fans, I have also taken a test to know who my godly parent is. And as a tribute to him, I drew his personal pet.

This an digital version and my own interpretation of me and my friends after a successful work. I did this to remember the exhausting yet fulfilling time we had after finishing our greatest work yet.

"Cousins of House Black" May, 2021

This is my new personal favorite among my works. Based on Ellivision's Sisters of House Black (Bellatrix Lestrange, Andromeda Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy) in Youtube, I created a picture of what would it be like if their descendants met.
(From left to right: Scorpius Malfoy, Teddy Lupin, Delphi Riddle)

I might have spent a lot of time away from art but going back to it is like going home. It is like being cradled in the arms of the most gentle person, to whom I can talk with and the only one who can understand the things going on in my head. At first I decided to enhance and nourish these talents but in the end, it nourished me for it was my only companion when I am alone and made me go beyond my limits and try a different medium. It is just like what the founder of our theater organization had said:

"Art is life and life is an art"
